We believe we can match that variety of choice, in offering services in a range of Sub-Specialties that we have done extensive training in and, through years of experience, developed Clinical Expertise in as well.
“We are passionate about offering a broad range of Options to our Patients, to exhaustively cover all aspects of their Visual Needs.”

- YOUR OPTOMETRISTS
George & Suzanne are married Partners, and started the Practice in 2001, building it to the busy Optical Hub of Excellence it is today!
Dr George Sahely graduated from Melbourne University in 1988. After working as a Clinician instructing students at the Victorian College of Optometry, he initially practised with an Independent Optometry group before working within a corporate environment. He moved to New Zealand and started his own practice which he operated for 7 years, before relocating back to Australia with his wife Suzanne in 2001, at which time they opened 20/20 Sight & Style.
George has post-graduate degrees in Behavioural Optometry and Therapeutics. He can therefore prescribe medications for treatment of eye diseases, eye allergies, conjunctivitis and other eye conditions.
In recent years, he has undertaken further training and now has considerable experience in Dry Eye diagnosis & Treatment, Ortho-K (fitting contact lenses to reduce short-sightedness) as well as Neuro-Optometry: encompassing diagnosis & treatment of Balance issues, Post-stroke vision compromises and Post-concussion Syndrome.
George was always interested in being in the Health industry and assisting others, so has found being involved in enhancing people’s lives through better vision care very rewarding. He has a passion for Astro-Physics and has been known to go Aurora-chasing down The Peninsula until the wee hours of the morning! He is also an avid Hawthorn supporter and (if time ever allows) will happily head out to the beaches of Torquay to ride the waves.
Dr Suzanne Sahely trained in New Zealand and graduated in 1989 from Auckland University. Following a period working at Auckland University Optometry School and then in Private Practice, she then travelled to undertake extensive post- graduate training in the USA in Behavioural Optometry, before operating her own Practice in New Zealand for over 10 years. She was the first optometrist in New Zealand to gain her Behavioural Optometry degree. Her time in New Zealand also exposed her to developing her skills in the field of rigid gas permeable Contact Lens fitting, especially for Keratoconnus.
She loves the variety of challenges that Optometry offers, and has always been fascinated with how people see & how Vision can affect Lifestyle. This has led to extensive training in Children’s Vision through Behavioural Optometry, which has been a key focus for her in the Practice.
She shares George’s passion for following Hawthorn in the AFL (luckily!) and is also a Game of Thrones nerd, whenever time allows to occasionally sit down in front of the TV. Otherwise, interests in Interior Design, Home Reno shows and Photography & Videography provide plenty of Projects for her, including editing her own mini-movies.

Giving Back to the Community
We have chosen to support our Community in a number of ways:
- By being participants in the Victorian Eyecare Scheme that makes subsidised glasses available to Pensioners.
- By offering reduced fees for Clinical Services & Products to all our Adult Patients on a Pension
- By supporting our local Education system by speaking to Schools about the involvement of Vision in Learning Difficulties and aiding teachers in providing support for students they have concerns about.
